90 Day Google Adsense Challenge Strategy
First of all, I have to say that things are looking good and bad. I just reviewed one website today to check the rankings of it. The website has around 25 pages and what´s funny is that around 2-3 pages rank in top 10 for their targeted keyword and around 17 -20 pages rank on the second page. Only a few pages rank on page 3 or worse. That tells me a lot. As you guys now I can´t disclose any of my websites because of securtiy reasons. Anyway, we will now and in the coming weeks and months focus to get those pages that rank on the second page on the first page. I´m not quite sure how we are going to do that, but it will happen.
Since Google had its last panda update there seem to be a lot of changes. It looks like Google doesn´t rank new websites as easy as it used to be. I checked the rankings for the site with the 26 pages around 2 weeks back and they rarely improved even though we got a lot of different backlinks to it. I don´t think that link velocity is the problem either, but could be age. So what are we going to do? There is nothing you can do about a young website, but to let it age. However, I´m convinced that with the right backlinking techniques such as getting high PR contextual links, this website will improve in rankings quicker.
We will also try some additional internal backlinking strategies in this 90 day Google Adsense challenge to see how effect his could have too.
Besides, it looks like higher pages still seem to rank better than shorter pages. That can be a bit of an issue if you are writing about a topic which you actually hate and you would like to quite after 200 word.
Another strategy that we are going to use is to pick keywords with lower search volume like a few hundred exact searches per month that are easy to rank for, and have high clicks meaning everything above $5. There are super profitable niches that don´t get so many searches but have high paying clicks and are easy to rank for. We will start another set of 3-5 websites in a week or two to see how that goes.
We are still a lot away from the goal of $30/day, but Im confident that we will come closer to that goal soon. SEO is really a question of how well you dance with Google. There is nothing you can do about Google´s changes, but to adjust. That was it from this week´s Google Adsense challenge and I hope you´ve enjoyed this post!
